How we safely remove amalgams upon request

• Place a rubber dam around the tooth to isolate it from the body
• Provide an alternative source of air to the patient
• Use high volume evacuation with isolate attachment
• Section amalgams and remove in as large of pieces as possible, while using copious amounts of water
• Remove and properly dispose of mercury after amalgam removal
  

We do not remove amalgams from a pregnant woman.
