
Misty Shelby, RDH
Misty grew up near Fall Creek Falls State Park and graduated from Bledsoe County High School with an Honors Diploma in 1999. She was awarded the very prestigious Farris Foundation Scholarship for academic success, community leadership, and volunteer work. She then graduated from Chattanooga State Community College in 2004 in the top 5 percent of her class with an AAS degree in Dental Hygiene. While in college Misty was a clinical mentor and tutor to 1st level dental hygiene students. In 2004 she was awarded the Proctor and Gamble Preventative Dentistry Award for excellent patient care and education. Her professional associations include American Dental Hygienists Association, Tennessee Dental Hygienists Association, and the Chattanooga Area Dental Hygienists Association.

Misty's volunteer work includes working with RAM (Remote Area Medical) which serves medical and dental needs of underprivileged communities. Misty has a four old daughter, Aloni, and her hobbies include spending time with family and friends, traveling, music and concerts, and reading historical fiction and biographies.
